Ford tows semi
#2
I am not shure if impressive or foolhady is a better word.
A lot of factors involved there. Empty or loaded any incline all factors to take into consideration, then add in traction; energy needed to over come inertia and gravity and finally the conditions. Ice and snow negligable traction and control. Either decides to go sideways or swap ends all anyone can do is hang on and pray. Pray that you survive and not damage anything too expensive. While I have little experience in snow, Ice I do have a bit. Once you loose traction and start slideing you stay slideing until the slide corrects itself or you hit something big enough to stop you.
In the oil field I have pulled of many a semi or pieces of rolling heavy equipment but not under the conditions I see. Here I wouldn't even attempt it in the mud or a rainslick surface or a deep hole or steep incline.
