96 F150 whines?

My 96 F150 whines like it has a turbo charger. It only does it when cold. I thought it was a vacuum leak but can't find anything. I checked the idler pulley's and they seem fine. Any ideas? It does run fine, no other problems. Thanks for any help.

Probably the alternator or the power steering pump. How long does it whine after you start it up cold?

About 2-3 minutes. I was going to take a look at it today but I screwed up and used the remote start on it. It ran for 10 minutes before I got to it so it wasn't making any noise.

Mines been doing that for 10 years. It's the alternator. Mine will continue to do it for 30+min if it's -20°F or cooler. 225k miles and counting on the original. All pulleys are fine.

Mine does the same when cold I wouldn't worry about it.
