Hawk, I had the same feeling when I went from an '01 with a 5.4 to my '10 with a 5.4. There is more room in the front of the engine compartment mainly due to the '10 having electric fans vs. a water pump mounted fan. It also looks like the motor sits a little lower but that might be due to the taller/square fenders that are on this generation. The next time I am outside, I will try to take a picture of the engine compartment of the '18 to post.

It has been awhile since I have posted in this thread. I had some operating issues with the aftermarket projector head lights that I purchased and ended up getting a different set under warranty because the ones I had were on back order for a few months. At first I did not really want the halo look and more so the 4 bulb style. After having them for a few months now, I really do like the look. I have also changes all of the exterior lights over to LED along with the map/dome lights inside. The interior ones have made a night and day difference at night time. Here are a couple of pictures of the new head lights.

Tiny,
Those actually do look quite good. I am not a fan of that strip of LED lights, but I do think the quad lamps look good. Especially considering how big the headlight housings are on this body style, it helps to have something more than a big solid plastic wall.
Looks like the low beams are projectors & the high beams are reflector type.... Correct?
Are all 4 lights on with the high beams or do the low beams shut off?

Thank you. I too am not a big fan of the LED strip, but they were there....lol. You are correct, the low beams are projectors that have a fixed shutter/cut off & the high beams are reflector. The operate independent of each other, so just the lows when on low and the highs on high. My first set of projectors had issues that once the lights had been on for 5-10 minutes, the shutter would not consistently drop to switch to high beams. It would take 6-8 cycles before you would get both lights on high beam.
