Well I took the Beast in for PA state Inspection this morning, and while I was there I figured I'd have them go ahead and test the battery too. The truck is years old and I'm still on the original so I knew it had to be time to start keeping an eye on that. Good thing I did. They showed me the slip of paper that the tester prints out; of the original 750 cold-crank amps I was down to 169cca. He was surprised it was still starting! The truck never missed a beat though! So he put me in contact with his wholesaler and I bought a new Interstate battery directly from him and installed it myself at home for $90. Basically saved about 50% over walking into Advance or Pep Boys and buying the same battery. I'll drop the old one off at the shop on Monday after work to be recycled and that saves me the core charge. I'm happy!

I think it's about time for a new battery, and maybe an alternator for good measure. While on the subject, I replaced the battery in my 97 f350 last year. When I put the old battery on the counter at the Ford dealership, the guy asked me if the battery came out of the truck I was getting a battery for. I said "yes sir it did." He informed me that it was the battery the truck came with from the factory. Pretty impressive.

Mine is also exactly 1/2" higher in the Rear, however I dropped my Rear appx 2" as she's 2WD

I know what you mean Bob! It does look like fun, and while I don't have any warranty I need to worry about killing I would be worried about killing my engine or transmission. After all, I need this same truck to get me home from the race track too!

Looks great. I know what you mean about the "fish bowl" feeling. My STX had no tint from the factory. Installed 20% all around (minus windshield). Much better

With my luck that Coyote would have me smiling, then throw something out the block.
Unk Bob

I have seen your truck (great looking truck), and few others, where they drop the rear and I must say I like the stance. Had mine been 2wd I would have most likely done it. I had to keep a little rake as I want her level when I tow the trailer and when I did my '04 with the same front lift I had to add a 1" block in the back as it was 1/2" low in the rear. I haven't hooked up the trailer yet to see what my drop is, but it was about 1/2" before so I should be close.
