Any updates on this dipstick? I'm considering buying it for my 2010 Expedition and wonder if anyone had any leaks or other issues with it that would make me reconsider. I like the price better than the Lokar or B&M, both closer to $200.

So far, so good. No leaks or any other issues with the dipstick tube. I have done transmission suction and refills several times since I put the tube in in 2016. Definitely peace of mind for me. Other than some surface rusting on the outside of the tube, I've had no other issues with it. I had them send me an extra rubber grommet so that I can keep that as a spare in case there was an issue with the grommet down at the transmission as it is very unique and probably hard to find. Otherwise, well worth the time and investment to do it. Again, keep in mind that you have to do this on a hoist, as trying any other way would be almost impossible to install.

Thanks for the update. I ordered one. I don't have a lift, but I do have ramps, jacks and stands, so hopefully I will be able to get it installed. I'm replacing the upstream 02 sensors, so I'll do this at the same time, and a transmission drain/filter change, too.

Are there any more recent threads about dipstick tubes here? I searched, but didn't see one.

I recently purchased a 2007 Explorer with the 6R60 transmission. I'm old and want a dipstick under the hood.

  1. The thread is 5-years old and the last post was 2-years ago.
  2. The transmission being discussed is the 6R80.
  3. This is the 2009 - 2014 F150 forum.

I know how old this thread is, and where it is located. As far as I have been able to find this is the only thread about aftermarket dipsticks for ford transmissions.

Also I know it is about the 6R80, but that does not necessarily exclude the 6R60.

I have tried calling B&M multiple times, and have requested information via email. So far no response, so I thought someone here might know if these aftermarket dipsticks will fit a 6R60.
