1952 F1 trans x member problem

Hi guys, this is my first post. I purchased a '52 F1 about three months ago. it had been butchered with the installation of a GM swing brake pedal on the firewall and I decided to put the power brakes and pedal under the floor. I bought a kit on ebay that bolts to the frame, but, you cannot use the stock crossmember. Bought a trans dapt tubular x member. No go. Right now, feeling I have to construct complete new part out of metal stock. Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
