AODE Tranny trouble
Just replaced the AODE transmission in my 1996 F-150 (302 : 4x4)
The truck still whines big time when driving. The big trouble is that while she'll haul ***** to 35mph, she drops off completely as if there is a 'limiter'. I've checked all the wiring again and also verified that it's not a fuel issue.
Could have I missed something in the wiring? The tranny is new, not rebuilt. Does something need to done with the computer? I'm sure it's something simple, but I've stared at it long enough now that I've worn my ideas out. I'm hoping somebody might have a simple explanation.

I don't understand hauls ***** til 35.......explain it like this, Takes off in first, shifts to second, then..... I think maybe what your trying to say is it stays in low gear?? I'm not sure. Ideally a scanner will show you what gear your in and speed sensor data, and stuff like that. Find someone with a, like maybe a snap-on scanner

thanks... 'hauls *****' was the term used by the mechanic working on the truck. You are correct in your translation.
We plan on using a diagnostic comp in the morning, I was hoping someone might have an 'off the top of the head' answer. The truck has been a major pain for my mechanic so I was hoping to help off some input before he blew the truck up. Being as he is a friend as well as the mechanic, I wanted try to get some ideas that could help. I know if I was a 'normal' customer I'd have a massive bill beyond my means, best I can do now is run parts and lend a hand as needed.
