What suggestions are you looking for? We need more info. If you have issues that need resolution, I guess it would be helpful to let us know what those issues are... Jim

Glad you got a truck. Sounds like you have some fun ahead of you with the wiring. There really ins't that much to the harness. You should be able to find your problem. It really isn't that big of a deal to pull the complete under dash harness out if need be. The brake light switch is found on the front end of the master cylinder, trace that wire back under the dash and look for issues as sort of a starting point. The headlight switch can be found fairly easily. Here's one from Mac's, a decent place to deal with :1948-1979 V8 Ford Truck Headlight Switches - Macs Auto Parts, it would be a reproduction. There are NOS on EBAY but be sure you are getting what you need as some sellers haven't a clue.

Iam pretty handy but electrical things confuse me .When we bought the truck we had no brake lights A local mecanic suggested running a wire from the brake light switch on thehot side? to the brake light in the back This gave Molly and I brake lights but then created the dash lights coming on when you applied the brakes I am confused. Molly is my 14 year old daughter who was the mastermind behind this old truck

Scott; the brake light circuit is mixed with the rear turn signals. I would strongly suggest that you look in to buying a wiring diagram. You can pick one of these (nice laminated) up on Evil bay for about 20 bucks. And you can also pickup a shop manual (Digital or paper) which will be worth its cost over and over again as you and your daughter work on this truck.

The best I remember the 1960 is a one of a kind. I remember never being able to find a new or reproduction, finally found a good used on. I think Number Dummy said the switch was also used in Falcons of the same year. Be careful what Macs list, they are wrong sometimes..

Number Dummy ( Bill ) is one of the members who is the parts information guru. We would be lost without him. Look through some other posts and you will see many of his posts. Looking at the link to the Macs page they list two different switches.

B9AF-11654-A 1958-60
C1DF-11654-A 1960-61
I don't think either is correct for a 60.
