Ok here is one for the true electrical gurus on here. Problem: with the 4 way flashers on (active) the reverse lights are dimly lit (current to the bulbs), all other lights are off (turn, running, stop, etc). When the 4 way flashers are active AND the running lights are turned on, the reverse lights are quite a bit brighter and they flash like the 4 ways do. Turn off all the lights (4 ways, running, etc and the reverse bulbs are dark, no current). The wiring was completely removed from the truck at restoration time and was cleaned, inspected and everything was in excellent condition. Could the above problem be the turn signal switch in the steering column?
Another weird problem and not sure if its related to the above scenario, but when the fuel tank switch is switched between tanks, the turn signal indicator lights on the dash quickly flash once as the fuel switch is moved. Any ideas on where to look for that problem?
