Being a dark color and working around a lot of dust it looks nasty at the end of the week. I wash it by hand or run it through a car wash every weekend so it looks decent for the weekend and for at least 2 days at the beginning of the work week.

Weather permitting...weekly or more. Always by hand. Always a two bucket method. Clay & Polish once a year.

as much as I'd like to wash it every weekend I did that on a previous truck and it started rusting sooner than anything else I've owned. I blame it on the nooks and crannies never having enough time to totally dry out.

Now I wash once a month, unless it gets really dirty before the month is up. I hate driving around in a dirty truck but I's rather deal with some dirt for a couple fo weeks than rust.

I'm probably in the minority but I like to clean my vehicles. It's a good way for me to relax and put things in perspective and it comes with a certain feeling of accomplishment. Silly I know but I do it when ever I have the time.

A thin layer of dirt is an excellent UV protectant...

It depends on the weather. It's been nasty here lately, I washed my truck Saturday by hand & yesterday at the car wash. Normally I like to wash by hand & spray on some wax. It has to be above 20 degrees otherwise the water freezes to fast. Today it was 25 out so I picked up some splatter. I wiped it down with a dry car wash. Looks like we won't have any more snow for a week so I might be good till Tuesday.

You're not alone in that feeling. It is relaxing for me. One of the things in life that really shows the effort you put into it. Now, the wife thinks I'm crazy for the frequency but she also doesn't complain when her Crystal Black Pearl Acura TSX looks like a dark mirror.

Spent damn good money on vehicles...would be a shame to have them caked all day.

But seriously, not as much as I used to. There was a time when I was a younger ( read "single" ) man when my truck was NEVER dirty. I kept the frame and rears painted glossy black and it was just plain old clean. Life, work, kids, sports... there will come a day again where I get back to that

When it's a little warmer out I do enjoy the Saturday ritual of washing & cleaning the cars. After a long week of work and all the sitting, it's nice to be outside doing something physical that doesn't require much thought. We drive down to Florida almost every spring. I take the opportunity to get an good wash & fresh coat of wax on the Truck.

When the kids were younger I often found myself out at mid-night cleaning the cars. It was the only time there were no travel sports going on. My neighbors thought I was nuts.

I wash mine if it's not going to rain or snow for a few days of if we're going on a trip. I can't stand driving a dirty truck on a trip.

When I lived in town and had nice water I would wash it about once a week...now living way out of town on a well that has too much bicarbonate I have to go into to town to wash it. I'm always amazed at how dirty the chamois gets when I dry it off after using a car wash. The recycled water isn't very clean, that why I want to build a small tank setup to use here at home.

I wash mine every two weeks on the outside, every month to month and a half inside and out. When i was younger i loved washing my car or truck myself. As I grew older not so much. I washed this truck once and realized not only is it big, but the tuxedo black metallic color was a drag to dry without marks. We have a car wash here in town that for the "truck works" (cleaned inside and out) they have a team of 3-4 people who dry with clean white towels and then they clean the entire interior, including the dash and windows. It cost $24, i tip them $5. It's worth every penny! They are sure to do the door-jams and the wheels as well. I would struggle to do a better job. Additionally, I always start a road-trip with a clean truck unless its snowing.
