Hi all, now that I am getting ready to get under my Cab and start working the frame fuel, brake lines etc... I will probably work on the transmission as well. I currently have a C6, and am seriously considering switching it to an AOD 4 speed. Other then the transmission itself, what do I need to consider? I have done manuals before, they aren't that difficult, but I have never swapped an automatic.... I know I need to ensure I have the right Drive Shaft length, but I also have an Inline 6 300... will it bolt right up? What about the crossmember? (Both are automatic so I assume no change is needed.) Is there anything specific to a year or specific engine I need to consider? Any advice would be greatly apprecited.
