Whts the situation here? heater core bolt pattern.

can anyone tell me what i have here? obviously the bolt pattern isifferent than original. Can the original heater unit with four studs be found or should i go with what i have, three bolts

?

here is inside my truck 64' deluxe heater
the square cut outs are mounting points
you must have a different heater

The OP's firewall heater core outlets are not located where they would be in any 1961/66 truck.

So, the heater is not original to the truck, it's either from another vehicle or aftermarket.

Not true. The openings for the heater core outlets are right where they should be. Here's a shot of a 1966 F250 4x4 underhood and the outlets are below the lower left housing stud, same as the openings in the Nerksa truck. Same as my two F250 4x4 trucks, too. I can get a picture of them later but they look the same.

The holes are too perfect and there is no trace of any other outlet holes which is another telltale. But, yes, they are right where they should be. 1966 F250 2x4 maybe not the same location, but for a 4x4 the openings are correct. Heater core might be correct, too. A bit hard to tell from this side of the firewall.
