dad had the same suggestion for mounting the winch on the receiver... but id rather it be mounted to the trailer

Just mount a plate with the receiver to the trailer then you can move it around

nahh i dont want to have to remove the trailer just to put the winch on then rehitch the trailer... too much work...

Wouldn't be a receiver mounted winch if the trailer remains hooked to the truck mounted receiver.

You obviously don't understand what I am talking about...
Mount a receiver hitch to the trailer.. They sell a plate...
