Hope I don't get busted for posting this in the wrong sub. I just wanted to know if anyone has ever tried this or know anyone who successfully has done it. I am in the process of rebuilding my motor and I came across a very low milage cheap one with the HEUI injectors.

 

I have read several threads on what is different between the 444e and the Powerstroke so I am sure, folks have done that swap. Just off the top of my head, front cover is different, oil pan is different, fuel pump in engine V, starter is different, power steering pump is different. Electronic control wiring is different. water pump is different, injectors are lower HP rated. I am sure I am missing some things. If you use the 444e and swap stuff from the powerstroke it could work. Do a Google search on 444e vs. 7.3l Powerstroke.
