I have been looking into installing a class 3 front mounted receiver hitch on my 84 F150 4wd. I later plan to install a Warn winch on my truck but want to be able to remove it when it is not needed. All I have been able to find is hitches for 92-96 F-series. Is there any difference between my 84 frame and a 92-96 frame? Why would this hitch not fit my truck?

 

there is a difference. however, i think if you look in the WARN catalog, they have them for early models as well.

the newer frames have longer bumper horns, and are a weird shape. you just have to see one

 

Do you think they might have a website as well? I am in Okinawa Japan right now and don't have access to anything of the sort at this time. Thanx!
