Im getting a 1999 F350 crew cab dually 4x4 7.3psd 6 spd on monday and am wondering what the stock hp/torque numbers are and at what rpm's. As for buying gagues, what is the order of importance and what gagues are used most. Is a programer recomended for mild increases in hp/torque?

 

Stock 235hp and 500ft/lbs of torque. Most important gauges are EGT and trans temp if you have an automatic. Boost gauges are fun to watch.

 

might sound like a stupid question, but whats the difference between pyro and egt, if there is a difference?

Anyway, the truck im getting, the used truck dealer says is already programed a little bit. How do i find out? Ive heard that if you buy a programer that it only works on one truck, ie, it downloads the stock program and replaces it with a modified program. Then, the only thing you can do is upload the stock program back on your truck or change the existing program. Is that ture?

 

F-350. That is true for the Hypertech Power Programmer 111. It should be included with truck as it cannot be used in any other if it is loaded in yours. I recently remover the above from mine and installed Banks Stinger Plus. CA

Guys the Superchips programmer 1706? is proven to be the best for the 7.3 don't buy any other programmer or CHIP!! Good Luck
