I went back and looked at the truck in better light and the damage isn't as bad as originally thought and it drove straight although the brakes need bled. I was able to buy it for $1750

And a tape measure. Measure the frame diagonally, not only full frame, but at the cab mounting points and front of the frame to the front body mounts. Basically you can narrow down where on the frame its bent by making a bunch of diagonal measurements and comparing them. Good buy at that price.

These truck's are soooo simple it's not a really big deal to swap the frame out.
there's gotta be a lotta decent parts trucks with good frames down there, and likely every bolt will turn right out, matter of a weekend & the frame's changed out.
When I was building my panel, rather than freshening up a whole chassis i simply took the cab & box off my pickup frame and dropped the panel body on

This was good Friday, early a.m. I drove the panel truck over to my friend's place easter sunday afternoon sans interior

Very cool pics. I pulled the cab off a '59 and only broke one bolt during the entire job. They actually used decent fasteners when they put things together back then. The new stuff you really don't even need to tighten it as it will rust together quickly!

I will give him a call and see if he has any parts for the truck and keep a donor frame in mind. Question, the back of the truck leans to the passenger side and after checking out the rear suspension the bushings on the rear shocks are completely deteriorated and gone. I am assuming this would cause the back of the truck to sag
