72 x F100 Chassis is wider under the 54 x F100 body

What is the F100 > 1954 front & back track widths ?

Just looking at mine front track ( 1972 chassis under 1954 body ) looks too wide hubs almost out past fenders ! Wheels will need to be massive negative offset not the look Im after.

Will it be easier to replace the front end to get it lower and narrower or will
that cause the track widths to be to different between front and back ?

You have the twin I beam suspension (started in 1965), different than the older solid beam axle. That said, the solid axle from 1957-64 was wider than the '53-56.

Havi are you sure? The reason I ask is I have a 57-60 axle in a junker 56 here and it looks right. I have never measured it width wise but it does give it a 1" drop over the 53-56 axle

I'm afraid the twin I beam frame/axles you have under a mid 50s truck is the wrong combo, way too wide.

my bad, the '57 is wider than the '48-52. I haven't measured the '53-56 personally yet. (still trying to find one for cheap)

I have a 57 axle under my 56. They bolt up the same. Spring width is wider. but not an issue.

Ok not my doing , the wheelbase length has been sorted that was a bit of a pain but its done . How do I find out whats the best front end to use ? Is the width of the Jag front end Ok to go under a 72 Chassis .
Does anyone have the specs on these things , apart from finding one and measuring it ?

Measurements seems to be the same ?

I looked up and read posts regarding Jag IFS , looked up the specs , cant seem to find one telling me the space between the
( 1972 chassis has 870mm to outside edge or 34-1/4")
Anyway the posts I found say Jag track 64" & the 72 = 65" this doesnt seem like a lot ?
The only other thing that might make it look too close to the edge of the fender is they are 1976 disc brake stub axles ,
but the track measurement is the same ??

Signed going crazy
