4X4 Decal Removal on 2012
I'm thinking about changing out the 4x4 decals on my bedsides to the FX4 decals since my truck has everything the FX4 package offers except for the Rancho shocks and the all-terrain tires (which I plan on adding in the near future anyway).
The truck is a couple years old now and I was wondering if I change them out will there be a faint image of the old decal due to weather and sun exposure?
I do keep the truck very clean and shiny all year round, don't know if that would help or not.
Thanks.

No Problem

If you do wax it regularly, it'll be fine. I removed them from my '08 after I had the truck for two years and there was no ghost image or fade. It didn't matter for me because I painted a mid-section stripe then an air brushed beach scene. Before I painted though, it was clear - just used a hair dryer and they peeled right off.

I was thinking that if he has a clear coat then buffing it out
might remove any thing that might be there. I had to remove
an old phone number on one the work trucks and it did ghost.
But it was on white and a little buffing cleaned it right up.
Just take you time and be gentle if you do buff it.

P.S. What is the decal that you put on?
