Talking 2.3l timing belt question - 1931 Ford

Howdy Guys! I put a 2.3l Ford Ranger engine into a REAAALLY old Ford, a 1931 to be exact. I was impressed by the little engine ever since I coaxed my sister into doing a burnout in a Jack in the Box parking lot in an '89 Mustang powered by a 2.3 four popper.

Anywho, I got a quick question: The timing belt seems to riding really far forward on the head cog, hanging off the end just a tad.

The stock belt guides are in place, this just makes me wonder if this is something to be concerned about.

It's easy to get to and work on, just need to know whatcha y'all think!

Quick info:
90's Ford Ranger 2.3 block
D-port head, 'street ported' with stock valves
OMC marine intake
Holley 4412 two barrel
hot wired TFI distributor
stock Ranger tube header

My thought, Yes. It is something to be concerned about. However, It may be a worn bearing on the tension pulley. It is something causing an alignment issue and it is not normal. My suggestion is to replace the timing Belt and all the gears and pulleys. Hope this is helpful and it is I believe you should do more investigating.
