hey everyone, i was wondering about the different pros and cons of putting a zf5 up to a 300 inline 6 in a 78f250.

Pros: Tougher than the Mazda 5spd od trans, has Overdrive and a decent Granny Gear.

Cons: Hard to argue against a case iron case. Transmission crossmember modifications, Driveshaft(s), Speedo Gear spot(?).

On the 300, i know the clutch is different too. It's bigger and the pressure plate is thicker.

I have a 2wd unit I have and want to install in my 4wd '78 f150. Not sure I want to do the internals as the process is quite involved...
