This is true Roy. Some will snap together and is sometimes referred to as "floating" and is applied over a thin sheet of foam for insulation and cushion. Others are meant to be glued down with a thick latex glue applied with a trowel. Some is even nailed down.

More 5th wheel (Montana) work......
Some photos of insulation alone the inside of the frame.....
Started to "cap" the bottom with 1" foam with foil on one side.......
Foam all the way across the bottom, from frame to frame. 1"x2" wood strips along the borders of the foam screwed into the steel frame....
The foam will be covered with the chloroplast.....
Fiberglass batten with foam holding it in place.....
Foil faced bubble insulation along the sides and bottoms on all tanks....

The coroplast that will be reapplied to the underbelly should keep the fiberglass dry. If it was me I wouldn't be using fiberglass batting. I would use expanding foam.

My thoughts is there will be times when it's driven in the rain and agree expanding foam might have been a better choice...with it covered one might not know how wet it gets..

Me to Roy, the pink stuff could be a problem down the road. First thing I thought when I saw it. But it is yours, it looks really good if it's what you want.

Good point on the Pink Stuff.........
When I opened up the underbelly there was no sign of water or moisture being there at all after 2 years.......
I will make a point to check it from time to time......
If a problem surfaces.....It will be replaced with foam.
Thanks for the thoughts

Roy:
In my part of the world, we think of the 4th of July week as "half time" for summer. That's only two weeks out. Are you going to have the fancy boat in the water and the camper back on the road before the Summer is out?

I am told no more other things will be put on the schedule until I finish the Montana.
Today I picked up the patio French Door and 6 of the nine windows...… That I will be installing after the Montana is done.
I have reservations at Mountain Meadow RV Park 21 July - 25 July. This is near the west entrance to Glacier Nat Park...….g
Great area to visit.
