Someone around here that I talked too had something done to their 2011 and it looks brand new yet. Said all he does is wash it. Never waxed it.

SitRep........(Situation Report)
This morning:
14 *F
Dense Fog
Truck coated with thick ice.
The Aux Cab heater produced heat right away. The engine started to produce a little heat in 5 - 10 minutes. The ice got melted from the windows within 10+ minutes........Much better than the 2011 F-350 I had.

Good Report! I never knew how good the supplemental heater was till I got it in my current ride.

The Aux heater is worth every penny. My 2013 puts out heat instantly - not a lot, but enough to clear the windshield in a few minutes. It takes at least 20 miles for me to get the gauges to move indicating the motor is starting to warm up. And that big transmission saps a lot of power in the cold early going - fuel mileage is about 12 until it warms up. Hate running around town with this rig because it never warms up.
