Those were the wheels I was going to use on mine. I don't find $300 per wheel expensive though. I guess I'm just used to buying forged or machined rims for Euro cars.
I'm the Blue and White 4X4 Owner, I can tell you that from day one of looking to find the right truck to restore, it was not to be an investment. I built what I wanted with what it cost not being the top priority. If I had pinched pennies I would never had finished the truck. I work hard every day and decided if it's something you really want, you will find a way to do it. I promise you that $25,000 would not touch what I have invested in my truck and I would laugh at anyone who offered me that for it. I never plan to sell it, my grand-kids are already fighting over who's going to get it.
Some things you can't put a price on and one of them was Sunday, I drove it in the Christmas Parade Sunday afternoon and couldn't count the compliments and the number of people who wanted to look at my truck. Every time I drive this truck and stop somewhere, I always draw a crowd, that my friends is priceless.
The truck with the AR500 wheels belonged to a guy that worked for a trucking magazine (Classic Truck Magazine).
The Bumpside was supposed to be pitted against another Bumpside in a build off, back around 2008 (give or take). The truck never made it to completion. The build off, and the truck, just sort of faded away into oblivion.

Now, THAT would be a cool truck to have IMHO. I subscribed to BOTH of those magazines at the time ,so I could follow their builds, neither of which ever got finished. There was ALOT of work put into that truck. I see in his ad, he was asking $15000 for the truck as it sat. I must be foolish because that seems reasonable for the amount of work he did.

Agreed. I would never think of selling my truck. It makes me smile every time I drive it.
Nobody would appreciate the time and effort that I put into this truck.
I built this truck for me; no one else.
