Mouse between my headliner and roof!

I've solved a mouse problem in my home recently but looks like they have rehed to my explorer! I can hear it scratching around up there. Just heard it today. I don't see any visible holes or anyway it could of gotten up there besides my vents. But how do I get rid of it with out taking my headliner down? My husband won't be home till the 20th and I have 2 small children and I'm terrified of it falling down while driving or messing with the car seats.

When the rig is parked overnight, set a couple traps............do this for a couple nights until you are certain all the mice are accounted for.
Hate to tell ya' at some point you are going to need to pull the headliner and remove the nest and droppings/assorted filth these vermin bring in.........if you don't when the weather warms it will stink in bad in there.

hang a cotton ball soaked with peppermint oil along the headliner. The smell will drive it away.

Peppermint oil, not extract, is available in most drug stores.
