That's a nice looking truck!

I like the front fender "vents" similar to those found on the Raptor.

Throw a removable top on that chassis and bring back an off-road worthy, I.E minimalist, Bronco.

Looks interesting. If it's really 85% of an F150, that means it's probably as big as a late '80s/early '90s F150 or about the size of the current Tacoma, which is a tad too big for my tastes. I'm surprised something that big is being sold in the overseas markets. From what you hear in the news, you think that only us Americans like big cars and trucks, but it appears the rest of the world might be more like us than we are being led to believe.

I like the size of the old Ranger. After driving it for over 21 years, I kind of got used to that size. However, I'd love to take a look at the new Ranger. I just can't stand the thought of having to buy a Toyota, or worse yet, a Chevy (can I say that?), if and when the time comes to get something new.

I personally think Ford is shooting themselves in the foot by not selling the Ranger here. However, Ford seems to have a mind of its own. I will never understand their reasoning. Chevy has a small truck, well two of them actually since the GMC Canyon is identical (another thing I will never understand is why does GMC even exist since everything they make is a Chevy clone?) and Toyota is downsizing their entry in the market. Ford claims it will hurt F-150 sales, but even if that were true, people who buy the Ranger are still buying a Ford, so instead of buying an F-150 at least they will be buying Rangers instead of the Canyon/Colorado, or Tacoma. A Ford sale is a Ford sale. Just my .02.

That would make sense, except in Ford's world, it's all about the percentage of the market. they do not want to lose the "best selling vehicle xx years running" tag on the f150 either.

Totally agree. This weekend I'm going to test drive the new Colorado. I have a 2006 Ranger that I love but its ready to be replaced. I've owned Ranger's for years.

If I wanted an F150 I would've bought one years ago.

bring it over

I want one! With the diesel, enjoy my 2011 F150 S crew but this size would be just right for my work, and the diesel would give me the miles.I run like, almost 70k a year. Come on Ford don't make me go to the N##### with the small Cummins.

I would buy one tomorrow if it were available here. I am a Ford Retiree but plan to purchase a Jeep Wrangler in the next few weeks as Ford is not offering a small truck or anything comparable to the Jeep.....Can you say WHERE IS THE BRONCO?????????????????????

My 92 XLT 3.0 has 101500. I need a new Ranger after 22 years. The F150 is too big. Car & Driver did a bit on the Colorado and were complementary. Certainly Ford can do better than Government Motors.

Love my 2000 Ranger

Have a 2000 Ranger with over 300,000 miles. It has a 5 speed standard transmission/w 4x4. If Ford has canned the stupid on the dash selector for the 4x4 I'd be standing in line to buy a new one.
