I have a 2015 f-350 with the my car garage door opener and a Genie rolling code door opener. Have gone thru all of the manual and contacted genie and can't get the vehicle opener to work. Has anyone else had this problem and if so did you find a fix?

 

This is not the standard code setup. You need a Car2U compatible opener or a Car2U adapter on your Homelink opener

 

My genie says that it's compatible with the car2u and the truck opener is a car2u.

 

I just replaced my garage door opener with a new Craftsman model. I had to get a Car2u repeater to install in the garage for the opener in the truck to work. Go to the car2u website and it describes which openers need the repeater. The repeater just plugs into an outlet near the opener and then you program the truck as usual.

 

I wish they would've stuck with the Homelink system. I've had many of them over the years with no issue. Got stuck with Car2u in this truck and had to buy and install parts for the opener to make it work.

 

Lear is no longer making the car2you conversion kit and they are out of stock.
