Banks says that powerstrokes are junk.
to buy their crappy products doesn't do you any good.
When it comes to our trucks, the stock turbo is great for standard stage 1's.
When you get a bit bigger, you can switch to the SDVan turbo, or a t4 mount turbo and get tons of bang for your buck.

You can get the same thing from vendors/sponsors for much cheaper. It's just a 1.0 exhaust housing. http://www.riffraffdiesel.com/garret...rbine-housing/

What I've learned so far. Banks does not like the powerstroke. The stock tubo will work with stage 1 injectors, and that I can get a 1.0 housing from a vendor cheaper than through banks.
My question. What are the pro's and con's of using an aftermarket housing. Apparently it's called a 1.0 in this instance.
Thanks.

I really liked the 1.0 because it got me moving quicker with the 5er. I couldn't tell any difference in max boost. EGT's were higher. BUT, I eventually burned up the turbo and blamed it on the 1.0. If your not pulling heavy then its a good deal.
