Manual trans firewall hole for video cable?

I just purchased a double din stereo with a backup camera to aid in hooking up my trailer. Does anyone have a good picture of a preexisting hole in the firewall on a 6 speed manual that I can use to run video cable to the stereo display?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Of course I have not been out to look at the truck because it is dark and cold right now, but from what I am seeing this pass through does not work for my situation.

You could always drill a hole.

The other option is to use some of the push out plugs on the floor near the front of the driver seat. Lay under the truck and look up and you'll see them. You just have to route the cable from the firewall down behind and under the mat/carpet.

I am not comfortable with drilling a hole if there are others available. I will look for the push out plugs near the drivers seat. I don't see why running the wire under the carpet for a couple of feet would be a problem. Thanks for the advice.

You might also try the plug where the vacuum line comes in for the heater controls. It is behind the panel below the glove box. That's where I ran my passenger side EGT cable.

Good Luck,

Automatic trucks' shift cable pass through the floor behind the accelerator pedal under the carpet. You may find a plug or a knockout there if you're lucky?

Update: I ended up using a blank plug about 3/4 inch in diameter below/behind the glove box. I was actually looking for the spot that Submarine Docker recommended, but found the one I used with nothing in it. Almost like it was there just for me to use. From there I ran the wires behind the glove box and up to the stereo.

Now I have navigation, DVD, backup camera and streaming audio in my truck.
