OK so I did a turn and burn to independence KS Labor Day weekend to pick up this. It was an all apart project with a lot of extra parts. I ended up using a cab and front end that I already had here from a 55 that was in better shape that what I got with this.
Its a 55 F100 Marmon Herrington, Y block 4 speed short bed with a factory ford script flat bed.
This is what I Have been working on but for the moment its on hold. Oh yea that's my oldest daughter helping in the pic. She is my right hand girl and can work circles around most!
FINALLY, I can stop biting my tongue! Welcome back to the M-H brotherhood, Kevin. Fine looking half ton flat bed. Stu
Sorry to put you thru all that Stu, I have spent the last several months in talks with Stu over this vehicle prior to purchase, after purchase and during the build stages up to this point. I had asked Stu to keep this one under cover until I was ready to reveal it. Seeing how it isn't going to get much done due to my injury I decided to let it out early for all to enjoy.
Again I want to Thank You Stu for all your help and YES I'm glad to once again to be a part of the MH community!
Lookin good Kevin, a half ton is on my bucket list. Its gonna have to be a manure spreader though. Love the A frame cab swap. Bucket tractor is the way I go. Just have to make sure you can trust the tractor pilot or your doing roof repair! Your method seems a little safer.
That is nice, Kevin. You told me this summer you were going to get something but you never elaborated. Nice find. That sure sits up high. What was its use in its previous life. Did the flatbed come with the MH Truck? I see you got stock style argent hubcaps on it!
Super nice truck Kevin.
The rest of you guys missed it. His daughter is the counter balance for that cab on the aframe. See how she's keeping the aframe from tipping over backwards while Kevin does the swapp!

Good eye! The crane was actually starting to sink into the ground on the heavy side so I had my helper stand there until I had the frame in position,
