I have a 2009 F150 with 35" tires and a front leveling kit. When cornering the traction control light comes on. I have talked to a few people, some are baffled and one said that it may be a programming issue. Does anyone have some insight on this problem? The tires are steel belted federal couragia mud terrain.
Changing the tire size affects the wheel speed sensors. You need to have the truck reprogrammed. You might be able to do it with an aftermarket programmer.
Are the brakes activating at the same time? I have the same issue when taking an off camber corner. Might try pushing the traction control button, hold it down until it flashes on the dash. This disables it, but you will have to do it again after a restart. Curious to see if you can get it "fixed" from Ford, afaik there wasn't any programming fix but maybe things have changed
Yeah last time I tried to have Ford reprogram for tires they can only select from a few sizes already available for the model. Not like most of the after market tuners that can adjust to just about anything. I looked it up on my IDS and it was still the same as of a few years ago.
