KEEP 1950 f68 WATER PUMP PULLEY

Driver's side pulley with the 10 indents

both pulleys

The driver side water pump pulley has 10 hole indents in it. Is it to balance the pulley? The passenger one does not. I plan on replacing both with new water pumps.

Should I keep these or go with the ones that come with the new pumps

Yes, those are for balance. Good luck getting them off without breaking them... If you don't need to turn in the pumps for cores, hang onto them. They can be rebuilt and the sheaves are hard to find.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will not try and do anything with the pulleys then. I will use the ones that come on the new pumps.
