2004 EB Expo Fuel pump driver module......is elusive as heck
Hello, I am trying to find the fuel pump driver module on a 2004 ford expedition, Eddie Bauer, 5.4 but it is not under the spare tire, on the crossmember as shown on many pictures online and on the threads I've viewed here on the forum after a thorough search, but couldn't find one exclusively on a 2004 EB model.
Also not on the outside of the frame near the rear tire either.
Is there one on this model and year?
Trying to diagnose for a friend with a fuel issue and wanted to rule this out but coming up blank on finding it.
Perhaps 2004 it was in a different location, or the Eddie Bauer model makes it different?
I can posts pics in the morn to show what I'm not seeing.
Thanks in advance guys, I'd appreciate any help on this one.

No, they started using the fuel pump driver module in the 2005 model year. The 2004 still has the fuel pump micro relay in the fuse box, soldered to the circuit board of the fuse box. It's not user serviceable, you have to replace the whole fuse box if the micro relay is bad. What are the symptoms ? Generally when the fuel pump micro relay goes bad you will get a buzzing from the fuse box and no crank or start. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge to stick on the fuel rail Schrader Valve and get a pressure reading? How old is the fuel filter? It could also be the PCM relay, which is the top right relay in the fuse box. Those top three relays are the same part number, so you can swap them around to test the issue (the smaller rectangular ones, not the big square ones...).

Fuel pump micro relay on fuse box circuit board.... cooked
PCM relay is the one on the top right (white in this pic... but may be black in some models...).... if it's burned out you get no start/crank ...

Newish filter, no buzz from anywhere when power is applied.
Was not starting, then after a bit it would decide to fire up and continued this behavior until it now just turns over.
No pressure at the relief valve
May just be the pump but I was hoping to avoid that task, but I have access to a lift so could be worse I suppose.
I'll try what you suggested and post my findings, I have a PCM module I'll try as well.
Thanks for your time Mike.
