It was very faint, but I heard it. I heard the unmistakable tentative step out onto that slope. The cookie aroma finally got to much for poor old Abe and he ever so slowly edged a toe out onto that slope.
First indicators are pretty good, the slope feels solid and before you know it his whole foot will be out there and starting to take his weight.

It won't be long now. Old Abe will get this new fangled spin on oil filter thingy installed and start seeing how much better life will be with just a tweak here, or an upgrade there and WHAM!!!!! There's be talk of major modifications; passenger side sun visor, radial tires, maybe even carpeting on the floor.....

....just you wait and see....

Careful there FortyNiner, Abe is from Pensylvania, and if he's anything like my brother in law, who's from Pittsburgh, warm beer is the ONLY kind they drink!

OHHHH, I see what this all means. Dark side, huh?
I have a passenger side visor AND a logo step plate.
But I have a six volt system, no radio and a rope oil pan seal leak. Do those three things cancel out the visor and step plate?

Should I just go all in and get a shaved door wireless popper fob to hang on my keychain?

If it's Iron City beer, then there's no accounting for life choices. Unless they are Brits, in which case, there's another reason their empire is gone.

Iron City Beer is bad cold or warm! It is brewed from the sparkling waters of the Monongahela just down stream from the old steel mills!

I think I'll be okay now. I just deleted my browser cookies. Do you think I'm safe?

I need to go out and remove my flatbed and taillights now. Later.

I already have electric wipers!! But they are original to the truck... one of the few (or only) options my grandfather's truck came with.

Hang tough, Abe. These guys are all enablers. Watch your back side and where you place your feet.

I just hope I don't see a tall man in a black cape and helmet saying in a deep voice, "Abe, I'm your Father!"

More like one of these cookie pushers with a 12V harness and a one wire alternator saying "Abe, wanna recharge your phone? " They are sneaky like that.
