12v switched power under dash?
I'm looking to install my V-1 radar detector with the concealed display kit which I plan to mount below the speedometer. I just need to know which wire I can tap into under the steering wheel to give me 12v power switched with the key. I have a 2010 Limited.
I'll post pics of the install when done. I plan on mounting the V-1 above the mirror, with the power wire running above the headliner, down the A-pillar to the underside of the dash. Then the concealed display will go above the steering column (when I decide exactly where I want it to go.)
Thanks,

Not a bad idea AF41 but the fuse box on my truck is under the hood right behind the latch. Not that I couldn't run a wire through the firewall up to that fuse block and tap in there. But I would rather use the small pigtail that came with the Valentine 1 (with an inline fuse) and hit a switched wire right there under the dash.
Anyone else have a wiring diagram or know what color switched wire I could tap into?
I do have the V-1 mounted with the remote display just below the info screen on the gauge cluster.

Here is the remote display mounted.
The remote display shows the bogey info discretely. The head unit can be mounted high where it can 'see' without being 'seen' especially at night.
By the way, there was a power lead from the previous owner's strobe light switch that I tapped into to test it. However, that power lead is always on, not switched with the key. It will due for now, and ultimately if I can't find a switched power, I'll run up to the fuse block.
