Jr. west coast mirrors

I found a set of mirrors in my junk stash, all stainless, has three ribs on the back and Ford script on bottom of each one. I'm thinking 68-69 truck but I could be wrong. Let me know what you think. No pics right now.

My 70 F350 has mirrors like that. I think the mirrors were used for sure 68-72. Number Dummy will be able to tell you exactly what years.

Is there any value to them or are they scrap?

It depends on the condition but yes there is value to them. Look for some on eBay to get an idea.

I sold a set on eBay a while back and they actually brought a decent buck. The set I had were complete, with brackets. I don't remember what I got for them but I think around $100.

I took a set off a 68-69 that are in real good shape including the mirrors but the acorn nuts couldn't have been quality stainless because they are rusted.

The mirrors on my 70 F350 are in great shape but my nuts (acorn that is) are rusted too. I want to buy new ones at the hardware store but that is low on my priority list right now.

Edit: I found the link to the ad. They were NOS

gangstakr, a member of the 1961/66 forum posted the link to the ebay ad. Then we watched as the bids went higher and higher. Amazing!

There's 1 available NOS...at a TX Ford dealer. No other Ford dealer, no obsolete parts vendor has any.

Why do so many put emphasis on things in a box, if the guy who payed a $1000 bucks bought them to complete a restoration he is likely to throw the box away after he mounts them, unless he thinks if he holds onto them for awhile he's going to find a bigger sucker,

Without the box, who the hell would know what the mirrors fit? There are two different types of these mirrors 1966/72 & 1973/79.

If you had the box, the part number is marked on it. Most Ford 'nuts' can look at the part numbers prefix, then have an idea what year they are for.

The mirror heads have Ford marked on them...and that's it, there is no part number on the mirrors or the heads.

Would you consider buying any NOS parts without the box?
