Early 1999 F-450 brake, abs, and bolt pattern combo question
Brake/bolt pattern question: One of my rear rotors has a nice gouge in it and I figure it would be good measure to replace all the rotors and pads. The only problem is I can't find rear 8 stud/lug rotors ANYWHERE. Rockauto, Autozone, Napa, Advanced Auto, they all only have the 10 lug rears. Front 8 lugs are available everywhere but not rears. Based on many other threads, I was under the impression F-450s didn't get 10 lugs until 2005? Does anyone have a part number for the 8 lug rear rotors?
ABS question: I have "4 wheel" ABS . . . I think. But there are only 3 ABS sensors/brake lines (1 on each front hub and 1 on the rear diff). Does that mean I have "4 wheel" ABS? It seems more like 3 wheel in my eyes since theoretically I could lock up one rear wheel and the ring gear would keep spinning with the other wheel. Please correct me if my logic is incorrect (FYI, its an open rear). My old 1994 F-350 had "ABS" of the same design on the rear axle only which I guess is what they refer to as "2 wheel" ABS. I ask because a lot of the rear rotor selections mention an ABS sensor ring but why would there be one since the sensor is on the differential?
Any insight (especially that part number) would be a huge help.
Thanks in advance.

Well, I'm an idiot. Forgot that duallies have massive spacers so the bolt pattern on the rotors have nothing in common with the wheel bolt pattern. For the record, the rotors are a 10 bolt pattern.
Also, the rear axle nut on a 1999 F-450 requires a 3.25" OCTAGONAL (not standard 6 point) socket. Napa has them for $33.
In addition, getting the the bolts out that hold the caliper frame are a PITA. Heat the frame up with some MAP gas and they'll come out a little easier. They will still fight you to the last thread due to the ridiculous amount of lock tite on them.
Hope this all helps someone in the future.
