Question 1995 F150 302 Idler Pulley

I need to change the idler pulley (not tensioner pulley) on my '95 302. The pulley spins counter clockwise in use, so reasoning dictates the bolt should be turned clockwise to remove it. I cannot budge it and just want to confirm if this is correct before I bust something inside me or the truck. Thanks for any help, it is appreciated.

The pulley spins on an internal bearing, the direction of the bolt in this case doesn't matter. Righty-tighty Lefty-loosey
