Wipers are supposed to wipe aren't they?

OTH, as far as I know fusible links are now a thing of the past. They seem to be the result of either poor engineering or cheaping out on manufacturing costs. The end result is increased problems and costs for the end consumer.
The fusible links are much smaller than the wiring they protect so using proper sized fuses to protect the wiring shouldn't be a problem. Except of course in the case of clear abuses of the protected wires as is the case with the 2G wiring. But then again, the 2G's are none for catching fire.

In the beginning of this thread it came up about the intermittent wiper relay box. On the 87-91's the difference between having intermittent wipers and non-intermittent is two things. The light switch (since it has the delay when turned to the left) and the intermittent relay box up under the dash (hard to get to).
You can get the parts on ebay to change a non-intermittent truck to intermittent. Or you can go to a junkyard and pull them yourself. I have done both. You can find them on ebay for less than $20 if you don't want to go to the junkyard, this is where someone else pulled them and sells them on ebay. I've had good results doing both.
