Whats up y'all, moving to Louisiana in July of this next year. I am getting stationed at Ft Polk, and looking to buy a house before we go down there. I heard that I should avoid Leesville and anything around that. I was looking at Rose Pine and Deridder and saw some good looking houses. Pretty excited, anything I can tell the wife to excite her more? We are from the South(Georgia) and LOVE rural areas.

I can't wait!!! I should be there in June/July sometime. I am just counting the days off until we can leave! We are also looking at houses. Any bad places in Deridder I should avoid even looking at?

 

I don't now about Deridder. I have driven through it but I have never stopped

 

The time is ticking away!!! Do yall ever do a meet up, where everybody brings their trucks, grills out, maybe share a few fine beverages, talks about trucks and man stuff?

 

We are trying to build the chapter so we can do one again.

 

Born in NOLA was in the LA Army National Guard after I got out of active duty. Spent more weekends than I'd care to talk about in Ft. Polk. I now live in MS and all I can tell you is plan to make it OT Cruising the Coast in Oct 2015. Look it up and make plans now. Only thing I remember about Ft Polk is ticks and chiggers.

Been awhile Folks!!! I am in the process of trying to buy a home. We are currently eyeballing in the Simpson and Deridder area. Pretty much another month and we will be in Louisiana. We are excited more then ever and can't wait!
