Probably one of the easiest for monitoring would be the Edge Insight. I think it is available in either the CS (color screen) or CTS (color touch screen) and looks the same as their tuners, but the Insight is monitor only.
I have an Android phone and the TORQUE PRO app ($5) works great with the ELM 327 Bluetooth adapter available on eBay. ($30) I haven't used it much on my 6.4L but previously I used it quite a bit on the 6.0L.

I think either option would read EGT from the factory probe but I can't say 100% for certain on that. I'll check it tomorrow and let you know if TORQUE will read EGT.

On edit: For iPhone I think there's a similar app available called dash boss (?).

So I tried it this morning and I couldn't find EGT on TORQUE. But I'll say as well that mine hasn't been updated for a while.

You might take a look at the Banks IQ. It has a pretty good monitor with lots of options for gauges, (Including EGT) plus you can hook a bunch of other options to it, like gps and programmers and has ability to act as a notepad with MS Office stuff. Stand alone IQ runs around $500 but you can find sales around holiday where they have big discounts. Worth checking into on Banks website....search BanksPower.com

Second on this, it's my standard recommendation. Simple, compact, inexpensive and you can get it at any Autozone or many other auto parts places. The only slight drawback is you need to spend about 30 minutes programing it's x-gauge feature to get the 6.4 specific gauges. The programming info is on the SG web site so it's not difficult, just a bit tedious.

I am just buying my 6.4 but I have a scan gauge II for my 6.0 that I will be moving to the 6.4. Great piece of equipment. Highly recommend.

Personally run the Torque app. Works awesome. Gives you virtually every sensor including EGT, rail pressure, etc...

I see more guys running those elm327 obd2 bluetooth adapters and the torquepro app, 15$ all in.

That will give you enough to worry about, for the average person.
