Steve Campbell from mining city restoration is painting the truck. I couldn't be happier with his work. Picked up the doors and dropped off the fenders

Started wiring up my gauges

Decided to ditch the hydroboost and use a wilwood manual master instead. I had Brody build an adapter so I could still use the cobra pedals.

Here it is painted and installed.

Decided to mount the computer in the engine compartment. This cover will hide it and protect it from the elements. Not that this truck will likely see the elements lol

My I/C reservoir fabricated and mounted

Brody did a great job fabricating the reservior

Computer cover mounted

Fuel and water pumps mounted with heat shields

Started plumbing the brakes

Got my sway bar installed. It had to be narrowed and took a ton of work

Should you get rear-ended with the gas-tank right there, is it likely to explode like they did with the Ford Pinto (I think it was the pinto)?

But it's looking awesome! I need to shift in to high gear on my project.

Do you have any pic of your work on your sway bar ? I had started a thread on narrowing one but didn't really get an answer from anyone who had done it , and would appreciate any help you could give .

I don't have anything on the sway bar. It was supposed to fit a MII suspension in a 56 ford, but we took 2" out. I think the suspension was TCI and the sway bar is heidts. Hopefully I never get hit in the truck front or rear, but the tank at the very end is water, followed by a cross member and then the fuel tank. Not saying it couldn't happen though. I just hope it doesn't lol

I guess it wasn't cut. I asked my buddy who did the work and he said a hausfield bender. He said you have to cold bend them and can't heat them.

Awesome truck fast Fred!!! I have an 04 cobra with a 2.3 whipple and I'm currently building a 68 swb f100 with a coyote. I can appreciate what it takes to create a truck like this! U will love the power its intoxicating! I see u have carbon fiber on the dash is this true CF piece or hydrodipped? I did CF hydrodip on my cobra valve covers and other engine pieces it turned out really good. If u ur into CF it would be a very nice touch on ur build. I'll see if I can post a pic. I'm new to the forum so bare with me! Lol

I don't want to derail the thread too much, but is Xchamp is that your truck you have pictured? Can you start another thread with more pics - I love the carbon fiber in the engine compartment

No that's my cobra. Just trying to give fast Fred some ideas for his terminator motor. I'm working on a 68 f100 with a coyote swap. I'll start a build thread in the next week or so on that one in the bumpside section.

Quick Reply: Terminator and t56 swap into 56 f100
