Along the lines of region-specific trim packages

I sometimes see people asking about a region-specific trim package their truck has and how "rare" their truck might be because of it.

I came across a relatively new F150 in traffic the other day that seems to have a modern variant of such a package, it's an Oklahoma Edition... thirty years from now, somebody will be asking how rare this truck is....

I've seen them advertised on local TV but no one has said what is in the package - whether it comes with just a badge or if there is something on it that isn't normally available. In fact, when I Googled it I found several advertised and the list of options had nothing unusual.

But, I did find several "Texas/Oklahoma Editions" being advertised, which shows just how silly advertising companies can be. There is no way anyone in Oklahoma is going to buy one of those, and not many from Texas would either. First, no Okie is going to buy when Oklahoma is shown after/behind/under Texas. And Texicans won't buy as they'll realize it is a rare year when their team comes out on top and they don't want to be reminded of it every time they look at their truck.

Think tic tac.

Seriously though, I know my 83 f150 increased in value when I combined the XLS trim, the Cajun Cruiser emblems, and removed the engine/transmission, driveshaft, and gas tank.

I should be able to triple my 200 dollar purchase price.

I always make the joke about a couple of our vehicles. You have to have a little bit of the real McCoy in you to drive it. If you ever sell your truck, post that in the ad to see if anyone notices lol.
