05 F-150 4 x 4 Heater switch

Ok I have an 05 F-150 4 x 4 and heater fan switch only works on high.
Any thing simple to fix this?
And also the light for 4 x 4 Hi doesn't come on but it works for low. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You have a faulty fan speed resistor. I'd have to look at mine to see where its at, but they're usually mounted in the fan housing where they get some cooling air.

Ok googled it. Its behind the glove box. Open the glove, and then squeeze the sides in so it'll swing all the way down. The resistor is straight back from the lower right corner of the glove box opening. It has a flat four wire connector and takes an 8mm socket to remove the 2 screws. Super simple and a fairly common problem. We have several Superduties on the ranch and have had to replace a few resistors over the years.

05 4 x 4 problem

Got my heater switch fixed thanks to P. Bronner. Had to replace axle, hub and actuator . it looked like it was driven in 4 wheel at high rate of speed. Now I worry. I need to know where the vacuum solenoid is on it.
