Name That Hood Ornament

My 70 F350 has this hood ornament on it. I am curious as to what make and model it came from. No big deal just curious. I think it looks pretty neat on the truck. It even has about the right curve to match the slight curve of the hood. It measures 27 inches long and is about 1.5" wide. Here are some pics:

This tip is a rubber type of material. It is not glass nor does it light up.

It's not from any FoMoCo vehicle.

With those rings, it's possibly from a 1941/42 Studebaker Commander/President. Take the puppy off, look on the inside of it for numbers, post what they are.

1940/42 Studebaker car part numbers begin with a 2 or 3, followed by 5 numbers. Truck part numbers begin with a 6, followed by 5 numbers.

HIO: I'm very impressed that you thought it could be from a Studebaker. Not too many FTE members know these cars.

Thanks guys! I am not surprised you two were the first to respond.

I knew it wasn't FOMOCO. It is held on by 2 screws. If I take it off I will post the #'s.

Studebaker, huh? That makes sense now that you mentioned it. The truck had a license plate on the front that read: Keystone Chapter of the Studebakers Drivers Club. So he must been a Stud aficionado.

Here is a pic the PO Sent me:

I always wondered if that was a hood ornament on the truck. In the pics it always looks like it could have been a fence or something showing from behind the truck.
