emissions or smog parts
Hello all,
need a bit of help. Recently purchased a truck that has most of not all emissions parts removed. Is there a comprehensive list (not diagram) of what parts are needed to restore back to original? I would like to price this out before I decide if I ma in over my head.
thanks in advance.
Its a 1979 ford f100, 302 v8

(Dude, put your location in your profile!)
California eh? Don't know of a comprehensive list but I suppose you could make one by analyzing the system diagrams contained in various chapter of shop manuals.
Off the top of my head - catalytic converters (YUCK), EGR, smog tubed manifolds, air cleaner housing, spark delay valves, air pump, hoses. If you don't have cats, you're gonna need them for that small block (cha-ching!). Either start ring the registers or bail on 76-79 model years because their emission systems are archaic and suck monkey nuts.
