Why is my fuel milege gone bad?

I havent done anything to my truck, but i notice the milege has gotten worse. It dosent seem gradual it seems like more of an all of a sudden thing.
What can cause this? Is there something i should i check or test or look into?

How much has it dropped? Winter blend drops mileage a little but not sure if that has started yet. I would guess it has in PA. - Air filter & oil clean ? Just for starters

I have not taken exact measurements, with everything going on i cant afford to fill up to calculate, but i make alot of the same trips multiple times, and add the same ammounts of fuel every time before hand and im noticing its not the same as far as having left over what i should, or not having enough at times. It sounds wiers but its just one of those things where you know your truck and you know what should be and you notice it isnt.

I wouldnt say its like going from 15mpg to 7mpg but its a big enough hit i can notice it.

Air filter is clean, fairly new about 2 months old. Oil is good, it hasnt been in that many miles ago either. I havent ran 4 wheel, hubs are free, equil ammount of loss on any tune from what id normally get on that tune.

And it seems as at the same time this started ive been smelling an odd smell when i stop shut off and park and get out. It smells like an oily smell or similar to my ccv vent. Which im not sure if thats a coincidence or not or ive just never picked up on that smell before or what, im just putting them together now.

Now, in addition, i must say my ccv vent tube ends right under my door because i didnt buy a long enough hose when i did it, i still need to take care of that. I can see the fumes rising when i stop at like a drive thru window or something.

I would check it - hand calculate & see how much less it actually is. Winter blend can drop as much as 2 mpg. I have the ccv ending under the door & I see the same thing & smell the smell too.Wouldnt worry about that. Are all your IC boots tight ? Also is the tube for EBPV sensor clean ?

I'd put it back to stock on the CCV. And check for boost leaks. Also the EBP tube and sensor. Easy and why not. You need to fill it are we are just guessing.

Diesel 724- I dont own one of those either - IIRC - did mine with a couple open end wrenches. Been too long ago to remember what size.Had to go easy in between fan blades but it all came out. Make sure & clean out the fitting where the tubing goes onto the block also. Good luck

Notice anything different with your boost or ICP? As stated above, winter blend kills mileage. It is about that time of year too.

How many miles on the injectors?

If you have access to some kind of scan tool check the map sensor. I've heard when they go out your mileage tanks.
