'75 was the first year for the F150... basically to skirt some DOT/EPA laws based on weight ratings.
Post a pic of your warranty plate and let's see what it started out as. It can be a mystery sometimes because cab swappers are notorious for keeping really crappy records and documentation about this and that swaps.
Quick question... does the rear axle have a bolt-on rear cover? Or does the gear case bolt on from the front side with the rear of the pumpkin smooth?

Did you get the vi# off the paper title, the frame, the dvrs side door warranty tag or the white safety certification sticker on the dvrs side B pillar by the striker?
So it has leaf springs up front? Is it a SC? That makes for a odd one, a reg cab 4x4 F150 has coil springs/radius arms and 5 lug nuts. A SC (super cab) aka a "extended cab" these days, it can still have 5 lug nuts, but have a leaf spring front suspension.
5 lug nuts, I bet the rear is a 9" w/no removable rear cover. If it has a removable rear cover and 8 lug nuts its a D60.
5 lug nuts on the front, I bet D44, 8 lug nuts still a D44 it is has ball joints. D60 if it has kingpins.

Assuming they are in fact Dana axles, look for the Bill of Material (BOM) numbers cast/stamped on the axle. Lookie here:
Dana Axle
Then look up the BOM in the applicable Application document about 10th or 11th from the bottom of this page: Dana Holding Corporation The Expert Librarian - Information for driveshafts, u-joints, axles, heavy axles, light axles, Drivelines

ok so i did run the numbers and it did come back as a dana 60 rear and dana 44 front the vins match on every part of the truck and i was told that the 390 was a factory option for a f150 camper special ranger xlt. so from what im being told i have stumbled across a good find

Like DCP said, the 390 was not available on 4WD.
Does your VIN start with F15 or F14? If it's F15 then the cab was originally a 2WD cab. F14 is the code for a 4WD F150.
The fourth character of your VIN is probably going to be a "Y". This is for a 360, the only FE series engine and the only V8 offered in 4WD trucks in '75.

F150 4WD Super Cabs were introduced in 1978, have leaf spring front suspension.
From what I've read in this thread, this 1975 F150 (it was originally 2WD) is a Frankenstein Monster with parts swapped from gawd only knows what.
