The amp actually plugs into the normal radio wiring connectors, so if you had dug around a little more, you could have unplugged it instead of cutting.
I looked everywhere and only seen two plugs side byside each other one was rectangular which ran to the speakers and one was square that ran to the deck...the bypass connectors that came with the kit only connected to the connector going two the speakers and did not fit the square connector going to the deck so I had to cut that connector and wire it straight to the speakers wires from the deck.
Trust me I fooled around with this thing for hours and that was the only solution that I could come up with. This amp was not like the ones in the explorer at all.
