Heater Blend Air door replacement - With Pics *Easy Fix*

Remove radio

That's what you're looking for

Broken teeth on both parts

I had the annoying clickly-click behind the radio for too long when adjusting the air temperature ****. The replacement was really easy, only taking about 40 minutes while going slow showing my 15 year old son the process.
Very easy, remove the lower trip plate, lift up the radio trim plate, remove radio, remove old actuator.
I have the manual A/C, so only one blend air actuator to worry about.
I used the Dorman 604-275 replacement part. RockAuto $18, Amazon Prime $23. The factory part failed, and was undoubtly more.

I disassembled the old part and of course found broken gear teeth, looking like spaghetti. I did have the factory service manuals to reference, but this was honestly one of the easiest repairs ever. The actuator screws were a little difficult to get a socket on, but that's it.

Dorman blend door actuator SUCKS!

After replacing 3x of the Dorman parts I cannot recommend them even for a cheap fix. This clickty click drove us nuts on vacation for 24 days and 6500 miles. I put a factory part in and its worked perfectly. I have a warranty replacement from Dorman that's new in the box I'll make a good deal on for somebody.

I often buy aftermarket, but sometimes it's just isn't worth the trouble. I recently had a Stant radiator cap that was unable to hold even 1 lb of pressure right out of the box.
